Window ac for elderly neighbor ~10,000btu - $1 (New Orleans)

Trying to help an elderly disabled neighbor in MidCity, Nola, whose home has no ac.
Large high ceiling rooms, poor insulation.
Tried a small new ac I gave her but it didn’t help the temp, just raised the bill.
Did the sq footage measurements and need at least 10,000btu or more.
If anyone has 1 or even 2 to donate that would be awesome.
