We are looking for an energetic, friendly, organized, Leasing Consultant who loves working with people.
The Leasing Consultant will undertake the leasing activities at our property in Jefferson Parish and will support the Community Manager and Team with various administrative, Resident-relations, and organizational activities, including Resident Retention and Rent Collections.

The successful candidate will effectively attract prospective Residents, Lease apartments to prospective Residents, Collect Rents, Renew leases effectively, and provide excellent customer service to all existing and future Residents.
*Responsibilities*
* Greet all prospective and existing Residents via phone, email, and in person is a highly friendly, courteous, and professional manner.
* Review, qualify, and organize prospective Residents using Customer Relationship Management technology platforms.
* Present apartments to prospective Residents in a persuasive manner
* Promote unoccupied apartment units through various media and advertising techniques, including social media
* Evaluate prospective Residents' requirements and financial position in accordance with FAIR HOUSING
* Collect Rents and ensure all Resident ledgers remain accurate.
* Renew leases and retain Residents consistently.
* Provide accurate information on the different features of the property and apartment units
* Validate application information and references
* Negotiate leasing terms and complete agreements
* Keep abreast of the property market status and the market overall
* Ensure proper maintenance and inspect properties periodically by working closely with the property team

* Proven working experience as an Assistant Manager, Leasing Consultant, or equivalent position
* Extensive experience in Yardi preferred
* Good knowledge of leasing rules and regulations and FAIR HOUSING

* Proven track record of successful sales
* Basic understanding of MS Office
* Excellent presentation and negotiation skills
* Well-versed in marketing and sales techniques
* Highly organized with follow through on checklists and instructions
* Team player that works well with others and independently
