SUMMARY
Responsible for timely and accurate productions of all types of commercial loan documentation, including but not limited to large complex credits, participations, and lease transactions; additional responsibilities also include ensuring credits are documented in accordance with loan approvals, loan policy and applicable laws and regulation.
SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES
Assist in training of new loan documentation personnel
Produce standard loan and collateral documents for all types of commercial loans which comply with bank policy and all federal and state laws
Prepare and/or review documentation for both purchased and sold participation loans
Review existing loan and collateral documentation to ensure and existing errors or deficiencies are resolved when processing renewals or originating new loans secured by existing collateral
Engages and works with outside counsel, as needed, for loan closings
Obtain and review all supporting documentation for loans prior to closing, including but not limited to:
Credit approval and adherence to loan policy
Financial reporting requirements and adherence to loan policy
Organizational documents for all borrower types to ensure proper borrower authorization
Lien searches and Real Estate title documents to ensure the bank’s ability to prefect their lien position
Flood determinations and applicable flood insurance to ensure compliance with federal flood regulations
Other various insurance types to ensure the bank’s collateral is protected
Environmental due diligence documents to ensure policy requirements are met
Real Estate appraisals and reviews to ensure policy and regulatory requirements are met
Assist with second reviews of loan documentation packages prior to closing
Assist with loan documentation personnel in the due diligence and preparation of their loan packages
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree in a Business or Finance Related Field; or 6 (six) years of commercial loan documentation experience
Strong working knowledge of state and federal banking regulations, including but not limited to, HMDA, Fair Lending, Community Reinvestment Act, and the Flood Disaster Protection Act
Strong working knowledge of real estate documents (Title Opinions, Title Insurance Documents, Mortgages, Appraisals, etc.
)
Strong working knowledge of UCC rules and regulations
Strong working knowledge of other departments, as they relate to loan operations
Strong interpersonal communication
Strong organizational and time management skills
Strong computer, keyboard, and software application (Microsoft Word and Excel) skills
Minimum 2 years of Laser Pro experience required
