Ninth Ward Nursery, LLC, is a New Orleans-based garden center specializing in non-invasive species of bamboo for creating natural privacy screens.
Founded in 2015, Ninth Ward Nursery has been providing homes and businesses with this specialty plant that is evergreen, cold-hardy, wind-resistant and easy to care for.
Also known as "clumping" bamboo, the noninvasive species we carry are best suited for New Orleans' climate, with root (rhizome) systems that form a cluster of shoots that achieve a maximum diameter of 3' to 6' when mature.
These species do not require special care to prevent invasiveness, as they naturally contain themselves to a small "footprint.
