*JOB TITLE:Talented Visual Arts*
*Position Description*: Instructs students in history, aesthetics, criticism, and production in talent area in which students have been identified as talented: visual art, drama, or music.
*Reports To*: Director of IDEA & Coordinator of Gifted, Talented, and the Arts
*Scope of Responsibility*:
* ● Develops a curriculum appropriate to meeting the needs of each talented student as dictated by the Individual Education Program.
* ● Completes accurately, neatly, and on time all records and reports.
Encourages parent interest and is available for conferences in order to keep the parent informed of the student's progress and needs.
* ● Acts as a resource to administrators, teachers, and parents for drama, music, or visual arts.
* ● Creates an aesthetic environment in which students can develop their individual talents.
* ● Provides opportunities for students to demonstrate their talents to appropriate audiences.
* ● Fosters an understanding of the arts which goes beyond representation by encouraging students to use creative thought processes.
* ● Performs all other duties assigned by the Director of IDEA & Coordinator of Gifted, Talented, and the Arts
* *Skills and Qualifications*: We seek detail‐oriented, independent self‐starters who demonstrate an unwavering commitment to raising student achievement and who have a record of high performance in challenging situations.
Successful candidates will also demonstrate and/or possess.
* ● Ancillary certification in talent area of music, visual arts, or drama Three years' successful teaching experience.
*Desirable Qualifications*: ● Advanced degree.
*Physical Involvement*: Sitting is required part of each workday.
Must be able to operate office equipment.
Standing, walking, reaching, bending, lifting up to 10 pounds is sometimes required.
Ability to provide own transportation to schools, work locations and meeting sites.
Mobility skills necessary to access a variety of work locations.

Pay: $49,300.
