Duties:
- Safely operate a variety of trucks, including flatbeds, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and tankers.
- Load and unload materials or equipment from the truck using forklifts or other appropriate tools.
- Transport goods and materials to designated locations in a timely manner.
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations while operating the truck.
- Perform routine inspections of the truck and report any maintenance or repair needs.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and other relevant information.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding safety and transportation.
Requirements:
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for the type of truck being operated.
- Proven experience as a truck driver, preferably with experience in operating flatbeds, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, or tankers.
- Familiarity with manual transmissions and ability to operate them effectively.
- Ability to load and unload materials using forklifts or other appropriate tools.
- Knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance is a plus.
- Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions accurately.
