TIME FRAME: This is a short term, full time position.
April 25th - April 28th & May 2nd - May 5th are required.
Some dates before, in between, and after these periods are optional.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Transport artists to and from the airport, hotel, or other locations to Festival-related performance venues.
This position requires a smartphone.
Drivers will need to pass a drug screening and background test.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Attend a mandatory training meeting.
Date, time, and location will be provided.
Receive training on festival rules/regulations, routes, and procedures.
Receive driver manual, festival credentials, parking permit, and other relevant information.
Must have a smartphone.
Receive daily ground transportation schedule.
Review and familiarize with assigned runs, pick-up/drop-off locations, and instructions.
Communicate with the dispatcher when in place, in motion, or upon completing assigned runs.
Ensure availability of necessary items such as radio equipment, maps, phone numbers, and fuel cards.
Daily vehicle inspection for damage; follow provided procedures and report accidents immediately.
Special parking arrangements at airports and most hotels; notify dispatcher of any issues.
Thoroughly check vehicle after each artist/group unloads to prevent items left behind.
Follow instructions from Stage Managers and Backstage Managers; respect working areas.
Drive cautiously, especially on dirt tracks; obey all security instructions.
Report any accidents, incidents, or situations to the Driver Manager promptly.

CIRCUMSTANCES, ASSISTANCE WILL BE PROVIDED, WHERE POSSIBLE, TO ENSURE THAT THE EMPLOYEE
ARRIVES HOME SAFELY.
MUST PASS DRUG AND FEDERAL BACKGROUND CHECK.
REQUIREMENTS:
It is the responsibility of each employee and their supervisor to accurately report their absenteeism
Must maintain confidentiality regarding program participation and any sensitive issues
May not post on Social Media about any aspects of the position
Any document, computer program, design, or other intellectual property created for the Jazz Festival belongs to the Jazz Festival and must be given to the Festival through your supervisor or departmental head at the end of each production year, or upon request.
Must complete all required Feedback/Evaluation Forms and Final Reports.
Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED:
Good driving record, valid driver’s license and some heavy lifting required.
Experience in driving a large passenger van or cube truck.
Good verbal and communication skills are necessary.
