Job Description Summary
The receiving supervisor supports and coordinates operations within the storeroom.
In many cases, this leadership role also plays a part in receiving all food and nonfood items that are delivered via the loading dock area.
This role also balances direct receiving activities and stock handling with team leadership duties such as training and guiding employees, developing policies and procedures to enhance receiving department activities, and maintaining inventory control and management records.
Job Description Key Job Functions Assist in overseeing daily operations of the storeroom.
Check shipment by comparing it with Daily Order Sheet and invoice to ensure that what we are receiving is what was ordered (quantity, price, quality state, size, count, weight tolerance and acceptable expiration date).
Fill out an error correction when necessary in duplicate to assure proper credit for amount of discrepancy and notify Purchasing Manager immediately of shortage to arrange for a replacement.
Create Purchase Orders in EPRO and running monthly reports.
If shipment is correct, time stamp and sign driver's and hotel copies of invoice.
Place the hotel stamp on front side of invoice and sign next to "Received By".
Check Requisitions to ensure accuracy of items before sending to outlets.
Conduct random spot-checks of all perishable items for proper storing and packaging to guard against quality loss due to over-exposure to storage temperatures, improper rotation, etc.
Ensure that perishable and fresh orders items are delivered to the Chef upon arrival.
Monitor and Ensure Cleaning Schedule for storeroom and loading is being completed daily/weekly.
Verify accuracy on Banquet Event Order and inform final details to Purchasing Manager.
Process packages in MS Shift, all Fed Ex and UPS are to be entered and sent to appropriate locations, as specified.
All food / beverage items are to be checked in properly and sent to the storeroom Attendants to be put away to cooler/ freezer as quick as possible Assists and directs inventory documentaries along with the Storeroom Manager as necessary.
Assists Storeroom Clerks in filling requisitions and sanitation maintenance daily.
Log in daily requisitions in the proper spreadsheet matching the outlet though its Excel Sheets.

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions and percentages Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals Ability to write routine reports and correspondence Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form Education and/or Experience High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or at least one year related experience and/or training relevant to the position.
