JOB SUMMARY The lobby attendant is responsible for maintaining the exterior entrance, lobby, public restrooms, elevators, public hallways, hotel operated amenities, and the back of house areas in accordance with standards along with supporting Housekeeping where needed with guest rooms.
CORE FOCUS & ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Qualified candidates must be able to satisfactorily complete the following responsibilities.
Other duties may be assigned.
Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service.
Cleans and maintains all lobbies and public restrooms.
Clean and maintain employee locker rooms, changing rooms, back office spaces.
Sweeps and mops carpets, lobby entrance.
Polishes furniture and fixtures.
Vacuums and polishes elevators.
Keeps the exterior grounds of the hotel clear of trash and debris.
Polishes the lobby floor during Night.
Keeps the Back area of Front desk neat and clean.
Keeps all public areas neat, vacuumed and dusted.
Clean and maintain lights.
Maintain mirrors, furniture, floors, stairwell, elevators and doors are clean and mark-free.
Removes all trash from areas.
Periodically checks all lobby restrooms / wash rooms.
Inspect condition of furniture for tears, rips, and stains and report damages.
Restocks all supplies including toilet paper, soap and hand towels in the lobby wash rooms.
Makes sure all surfaces are clean and tidy.
Arrange all cushion properly on lobby sofa.
Maintains awareness of guests, greeting guests in passing, using names when known.
Assist guest with their questions and direct them or escort to the areas they want to go.
Maintain proper usage of cleaning supplies and equipment.
Always smile and offer a warm greeting to all.
Support team to reach common goals.
Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
Take initiative and offer assistance throughout the property.
Follow departmental policies and procedures and service standards.
Report necessary maintenance items in conjunction with engineering department.
Follow all safety and sanitation policies Other duties as assigned.

Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.
Ability to comply with physical demands as outlined below.
Ability to scrub surfaces.
May require extending arms overhead to perform cleaning tasks, and work in confined spaces for extended periods of time.
Must be able to maintain a flexible work schedule.
REQUIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Individual should be high school graduate and/or any have combination of experiences that provides the required knowledge, skills, and ability to effectively fulfill the requirements of this job description.
LANGUAGE, MATHEMATICAL, and REASONING ABILITIES Candidate must meet the following cognitive abilities: Ability to understand guests’ service needs & requests.
Ability to acknowledge guests’ requests in a polite manner.
Ability to clearly communicate in verbal and written English (additional foreign languages are encouraged and preferred).
Ability to apply logical thinking and understanding to carry out written and oral instructions.
Ability to address and solve problems involving guest and operational issues.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
The performance of this position may occasionally require exposure to the manufacturing areas where under certain areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields and mandatory hearing protection.
Primary environment: ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment as found in a typical hotel environment.

Physical aspects include but are not limited to the following: Sit, walk and/or stand continuously.
Frequent lifting and carrying 25 lbs (frequently) and 50 lbs (occasionally).

Use dominate hand coordination for simple grasping, pushing/pulling, and fine manipulation.
Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps.
May be exposed to extreme temperatures, dust, dampness, height and moving machinery.
