*Overview:* At BOIL Seafood House, Bartender/Servers are responsible for maintaining the bar and creating the cocktails that the restaurant is known for.
These employees take patron drink orders, fulfill the alcohol drink requests of all table clients, and mix cocktails.
As a Bartender/Server, one may be asked to work in a variety of capacities and not always just in the bar area, determined by the business levels of any given day.
Duties may include but are not limited to: polishing silver, polishing glassware, organizing storage areas, and/or fulfilling server shift as needed.
This position reports directly to the Manager on Duty.
*Responsibilities and Duties*
*Bartending:*
* Preparing the bar by providing stools, napkins, straws, glasses, bar mats, and other settings as required
* Taking client drink orders and ensuring a high-level of customer service
* Mix and prepare client drink orders to order specification and restaurant policies for table and bar customers
* Communicating with serving staff to fulfill alcoholic drink orders for all tables
* Processing payment of meals using the restaurant’s point-of-sale system, Toast POS
* Constantly clean and maintain the bar area to ensure that the section adheres to restaurant standards of sanitation and cleanliness; when people walk in, the first they see is the bar so it is very important that remains clean and uncluttered
* Assisting the staff with cleaning, sanitation, and organization of all front-of-house and storage areas
* Assisting the servers in running food, seating customers, and taking tables
* Adhere to closing server side work list at the end of the day shift
*Serving:*
* Assisting patrons in selecting food and beverages by presenting menu and offering suggestions
* Running food from kitchen to guests in assigned serving sections
* Providing exceptional customer service to guests in his or her section
* Maintaining order and high standards on the serving floor during working hours
* Maintaining a positive, professional approach with coworkers and customers
* Attending all team- and restaurant-wide meetings as necessary
*Qualifications and Skills*
*Experience/Skills:*
* _Experience:_
* 2+ years of previous experience as a bartender
* Proficient knowledge of mixing, garnishing, and serving drinks
* Adequate familiarity with mixed drinks, bottled wine and beer
* 1-3 years of proven experience as a server
* Basic understanding of best practices in the restaurant industry
