*About the Company:* Hotard Coaches and First Class are premier passenger transportation companies with one of the largest fleets in Texas and Louisiana.
Hotard Coaches provides transportation services to Zachary & Bechtel LNG construction sites at Port Arthur, TX while First Class provides employee shuttle services to Tesla in Austin, TX as well as transit services from the Woodlands to Downtown Houston.

*Position Overview:* We are a small accounting team, and we pride ourselves in getting timely and accurate financials statements to management without having to work late hours and never on the weekends.
This is a leadership position and will be responsible for the operational accounting, budgeting, and special projects for two business units located in Houston and New Orleans.
The successful candidate will be the right hand of the Regional Controller and the finance lead for Hotard General Managers and other members of the business unit leadership team.
The position requires 10-15% travel to operating locations in Port Arthur.
*Job Responsibilities and Duties:* · Overall responsibility for, and leadership of all aspects Hotard’s Accounting and Finance including timely reporting, GAAP compliance, balance sheet and asset protection, continuous improvement, planning, special projects and ensuring efficient organizational structure.
· Evaluate, design, implement, and maintain strong internal controls in a changing environment.
Develop and refine efficient policies and procedures consistent with the Company’s desired internal control structure.
· Develop a high-performing team, recruit where necessary and dismiss any underperformers.
Ensure that your direct reports have the necessary training and resources to do their jobs and ensure their goals are clearly articulated and measured.
Make yourself available and develop their talent.
· Cultivate and maintain strong working relationships with managers of all departments and locations.
*Reporting:* · Lead the presentation of two business unit financial performance and KPI metrics at various levels of the organization.
· Manage the preparation of monthly business unit financial statements and balance sheet reconciliations.
· Maintain the current month-end close process with a target close of 4 business days.
· Assist in the annual audit by preparing schedules and reconciliations needed by the auditors.
*Budget and Planning:* · Lead the development of two Business Units annual plan and periodic quarterly forecasts.
· Provide actionable variance analysis between actuals and plan; ability to identify key drivers of variances and present findings to management.
*Process Change and Continuous Improvement:* · Help lead process change Initiatives within the Accounting and Finance organization and potentially across multiple functional areas.
· Identify cost savings opportunities across the business unit and pursue those initiatives as well as help other controllers within the company in implementation of similar initiatives.
*Banking/Cash* · Work closely with the sales organization to maintain strong cash flow, liquidity, and A/R collections.
· Oversee management of Company credit cards, reporting, and monthly reconciliation.
*Transactional Accounting:* · Leadership and responsibility for all transaction accounting activities.
· Review payroll timecards and reports prior to submission.
· Take ownership for maintaining/monitoring records and renewals for all fleet records, operating licenses, permits and certificates, local tax filing requirements, and contracts.
· Analyze payroll structure to identify gaps and areas of improvement and work with leadership team to standardize practices.
· Develop a strong accounting team and develop all accounting professionals (including field-based ones).
· Identify and implement metrics for transactional accounting activities and personnel.
· Develop and maintain transparent reporting of issues, communication of actions taken and elevation where appropriate.
· Assists with annual 1099 preparation and maintenance for all AAAHI companies.
· Ad hoc reporting and projects as determined by the Regional Controller.
